Andrew DeLizio is a registered patent attorney and founding member of the law firm. He has expertise in all aspects of patent prosecution including appeals, re-examinations, re-issues, as well as validity/infringement analysis, and due diligence investigations. Andrew specializes in assisting in-house counsel in developing patent strategies and harvesting innovative ideas.

Gregg Peacock retired his NBA dreams after being on the same juco squad as a future NBA All-Star. Instead, he has developed skills in domestic and international patent portfolio development and management. Between responses and Foreign Associate instructions, he packs food for homeless persons and helps refugees move. He has a background in Electrical Engineering.

Mario LewinMario Lewin is a registered patent attorney and specializes in patent preparation and prosecution, appeals, and reissues. Mario also counsels clients on all aspects of patent portfolio management, including continuation practice, invention harvesting, and foreign filing strategy. Mario has a broad technical background and a diligent approach to overall patent quality from start to finish.

John Guerra is a registered patent attorney with broad experience obtaining and managing intellectual property rights.  His practice focuses on patent preparation, prosecution, and complex patent issues related to standards-essential patents. John has experience utilizing accelerated patent prosecution strategies to quickly obtain valuable patent rights for his clients.

Associate Attorneys

Rodney Lacy is a registered patent attorney with over twenty-five years of experience in patent law.  Rod practices all aspects of patent prosecution and counsels clients in all aspects of patent law.  Rod helps clients protect a wide array of technologies including electronics, software systems, telecommunications, downhole systems, and tools.  Before practicing law, Rod was a software engineer. 

Blake D. Stovall is a registered patent attorney with significant experience preparing and prosecuting utility and design patents before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. While experienced with technologies across numerous domains, Blake has extensive professional experience working as a software engineer, allowing him to leverage a unique depth of knowledge when helping to protect your software and hardware-related innovations. Blake also has experience negotiating and drafting patent license agreements and performing patent searches. 

Thomas Brennan is a registered patent attorney and is of counsel to the firm. His practice focuses on patent acquisition, infringement/validity analysis and litigation support in software, system, computer hardware and semiconductor related intellectual property areas. Tom’s education and his decade of experience as a systems engineer performing computer hardware, software and semiconductor design for military and medical applications has prepared him to handle intellectual property issues efficiently over a broad scope of technologies. Tom is especially talented in assisting in-house counsel in developing patent strategies and in recognizing and harvesting innovative ideas.

Estiven Rojo is a registered patent attorney whose practice focuses on patent preparation, prosecution, trademarks, intellectual property portfolio management, technology transactions, and due diligence. With a strong background in electrical engineering, Estiven counsels clients across a wide range of technologies, including electronics, software, fintech, gaming, AI, blockchain, and digital assets. He assists clients, from startups to global corporations, in developing effective strategies to protect their innovations and maximize commercial value.

Mark Muller is a registered patent attorney and a Registered Professional Engineer (inactive) with the firm. He brings extensive leadership and legal experience, including 18 years as a Shareholder in a patent law firm and serving as President and CEO of a medical device company. Mark’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, licensing, and contracts, leveraging over ten years of prior experience as a Senior Research Engineer in electrical engineering and space systems.

Patent Agent

Edward “Mike” Uriell, MD, is a registered patent agent with the firm. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, where he also conducted research on medical imaging technology. Mike’s professional background includes practicing medicine in an urgent care setting and working as an electronic medical records consultant and clinical technical analyst. He leverages this deep medical and technical experience to assist clients with patent prosecution.

Patent Engineers

Brandon Hostetler is a patent engineer with the firm.  He earned a BS in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.  From 2016-2021, Brandon was a production engineer overseeing oil and gas production for over 1500 wells in North Texas and Western Oklahoma.  Brandon assists clients with patent prosecution including patent application drafting, and responding to Office Actions and Appeals.

Christian SchneiderChristian Schneider is a patent engineer with the firm.  Christian earned a BS in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas in 2019.  After school, he worked as a production engineer in the field and as an engineering analyst in the main office.  Christian assists clients in drafting patent applications, responding to Office Actions, appealing rejections to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.
